As always, this project began with an in-depth survey to assess the building’s condition and context. It was clear our commercial jet washing service would be highly effective in clearing the grime and mould from the exterior. However, while we cleaned, business would continue as usual inside the building, so a strategy to minimise disruption was essential. We established a constant line of communication with the client to coordinate our cleaning and limit the impact of our services on their staff.

Once a strategy was in place, we began using our industrial pressure washers to clean the timber cladding. It’s always best to use a low-pressure setting for wooden surfaces like this to avoid damage. Our experienced technicians could ensure thorough coverage and consistent clean while keeping the nozzle at a safe distance from the surface. We used a scissor lift and cherry picker to clean the hardest-to-reach areas.

Once the stains had been removed from the wooden panelling, the team began re-varnishing the surface, a crucial step to help extend its lifespan. Not only does varnish provide extra protection from moisture and contaminants, but it also limits UV exposure.

We wrapped up the project after 10 days and are over the moon with the finished result.
